discovering what we are to each other
In the beginning of any relationship, there is always a discovering and some kind of magic of the unexpected. Some how it was this magic that brought me and Emma together. Some special chemistry that just made it natural flow to get ourselves together.
As for the first time we are teaming up professionally with someone, we wanted to be sure that this was the right thing to do, and not just an impulse of the moment.
We sat in the sofa, holding our coffees and start sharing deep feelings about each other. We shared those kind of thoughts that goes in your mind but you never dare to speak out because is awkward… But we put everything outside. It felt like a confessionary, but we really got a crystal clear picture of why we want to work together. This decision was never taken because of a need, or because we thought it was trendy, it just naturally felt right.
After so many projects we’ve done together at Hyper Island, there was a common denominator: never quit, no matter how hard or how far we were from the target. In the worst situations both of us, without a need to discuss if we should take a night longer, we just stood, again and again, finding new solutions to solve every issue that jump on our path. With the same passion, same blindly fighting spirit. We had never put our arms down.
It is curious that we are two latin girls, we both come from the south of Iberian Peninsula. One from business, very analytic mind, and the other from fine arts and design, that met in Stockholm and know exactly what they want from life, that in many cases is actually the same.
