Russell Davies (Head of Planning for Ogilvy & Mather, Partner RIG)
Russell is a Head of Planning at Ogilvy EAME, a partner in RIG and a founder of Newspaper Club. He writes a weekly column for Campaign magazine, a monthly one for Wired UK, can’t be stopped blogging at www.russelldavies.com and once wrote a largely unsuccessful book called Egg, Bacon, Chips & Beans. He’s been Global Consumer Planning Director for Nike, Planning Director for Wieden + Kennedy and has worked on clients such as Honda, Microsoft, Coke, the BBC, C4 and Apple. His favourite Pokemon is Pachirisu whose special power is Minor-Errand Running. Russell will be sharing some thoughts on what was learned building Newspaper Club and then expand to talk about what happens when you attach the web to civic, public and commercial infrastructures. Perhaps with some bonus talk about robots and toys.
