Hyper Guetto phase#2

So now we realize we are at the last module of Hyper Island, the dream is about to become true. But there is still much to come and we don’t even know half of the story yet to come…
So nº1 task now is to fix the place of our dreams where we can try our brand new role Business & Creative Producers. A place where there are normal people, that are free of shits and like what they do, and do what they like. We want to try out everything we learned this year, making focus on making ideas become true, no matter what. We’ve been sending mails and getting in contact with interactive/ digital media idea hubs, where we can put in practice the hyper island way with a bit of hyper guetto stylezzz.
nº2 task is to define what we want to do as our final project for hyper. We decided to go wild and go back to London and do our London work for Hyper Island. We have planned to develop a technological interactive device, with the feeling of the module experience technology, where we pre-talked with a tech expert and in our mind everything was fixed and both he and us were very happy to work in this collaboration. Well everything was quite ok, and after we send 4 mails, thinking that he was happy to receive us, we discover after 3 days here that he is actually super busy and did not have the time to collaborate with us!
BIG COLD WATER SHOWER. We got very sad and disappointed. All our plans and hopes went down the pipe…
Then we still don’t have a house in London and we got help from sweetest Saher Sidhom, that borrowed us his amazing tower for a week, so until 25th October we are safe.
Parallel from all I got an offer from the Guardian to work as a interactive motion designer together with the rock star mr Alastair Dant, my tutor, my friend and my super manager:)
Then Emma is in the line to team up with the Guardian as a interactive producer.
We are waiting to decide on where we will go to work.
We have been sad, we have bin excited and we have bin disappointed, but after all we keep our arms up and when there is a door closing we always look for the windows.
For now we would like to thank Carla & Iain that host us when we arrived at Stanstead at 24h with no where to go and they just said, venga! Saher for direct giving us his house and Alastair, Armando for all the support overall and friendship, WaterGun for the extra hand with the logistics.
This is Hyper Guetto moving homes…
